38 Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Dead as of May 22, 2025: Their Origins

Based on data from the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Integrated Hajj Computer and Information System (Siskohat), as of 1 PM WIB on Thursday, May 22, 2025, a total of 38 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims have passed away.

This number comprises 27 female and 11 male pilgrims. Based on their embarkation points, the highest number of deceased pilgrims originated from Jakarta-Bekasi (JKS), with a total of 7 individuals.

The following is a complete list of deceased Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in 2025 by embarkation point as of May 22, 2025:

1. Jakarta-Bekasi (JKS): 7 people
2. Solo (SOC): 5 people
3. Batam (BTH): 4 people
4. Surabaya (SUB): 4 people
5. Makassar/Ujung Pandang (UPG): 4 people
6. Jakarta-Pondok Gede (JKG): 3 people
7. Lombok (LOP): 3 people
8. Padang (PDG): 3 people
9. Palembang (PLM): 3 people
10. Banjarmasin (BDJ): 1 person
11. Without embarkation point: 1 person

The Ministry of Religious Affairs also recorded that the majority, or 57.89%, of deceased Indonesian Hajj pilgrims passed away at the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) in Madinah. Furthermore, 34.21% passed away at the KKHI in Mecca, and 7.89% at the airport KKHI.
