The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 34 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.9 percent as of Saturday, October 8, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 20 percent are Semarang City, Surabaya City, East Jakarta City, North Jakarta City, and Ciamis, with values of 26 percent, 22 percent, 21.55 percent, 21.33 percent, and 20 percent respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily tracing rate higher than before was recorded in one regency/city, while three regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Karimun, Deli Serdang, and Bandar Lampung City, with tracing rates of 20 percent, 15 percent, and 15 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
