Several districts/cities in West Sumatra province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Agam Regency, Padang Pariaman Regency, and Tanah Datar Regency.
As of Wednesday, January 12, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 566,380 first doses of the vaccine, out of a target of 1.08 million vaccine recipients.
Agam Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded 47.5% vaccination. This is the lowest rate among the other 19 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 432,030 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 2,577 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 48,704 doses.
Next is Padang Pariaman Regency. This area has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a vaccination target of 342,590 participants, only 49.6% or 170,050 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 2,799 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 43,914 doses.
Tanah Datar Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 306,330 participants, vaccination in this area has reached 62.3% or 190,990 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 2,598 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 50,341 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in West Sumatra has reached 69.53%, covering 3,070,000 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 45.14%, covering 1,990,000 vaccine recipients.
