Top 10 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with the Highest COVID-19 Hospital Bed Occupancy Rate (Tuesday, August 30, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 152 districts/cities with Bed Occupancy Rates (BOR) above the national average, currently recorded at 4.08 percent as of Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

The top five districts/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 37.5 percent are Sorong (58.93 percent), Luwu Utara (46.99 percent), Banjar (45.91 percent), Payakumbuh City (44.36 percent), and Manggarai Timur (37.5 percent).

A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in BOR in most districts/cities outside Java. 79 districts/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than before, while 65 districts/cities recorded a lower BOR.

Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Sorong (58.93 percent), Luwu Utara (46.99 percent), and Banjar (45.91 percent).

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
