Several districts/cities in South Kalimantan province still record quite low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Banjar Regency, Barito Kuala Regency, and Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency.
As of Monday, October 11, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 173,380 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 891,350 vaccine recipients.
Banjar Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded an 18.75% vaccination rate for the first dose, the lowest among the 13 other districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 442,250 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 2,250 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 11,730 doses.
Next is Barito Kuala Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 244,700 participants, only 19.99% or 48,909 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,216 participants. The available stock is 24,624 doses of vaccine.
Following is Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, ranked third lowest. With a vaccination target of 204,400 participants, only 20.33% or 41,556 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 560 participants. The available stock is 2,642 doses of vaccine.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in South Kalimantan has reached 31.14%, covering 984,540 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 17.78%, covering 561,980 vaccine recipients.
