The top five, starting with the highest number of people tested per week, are Situbondo (997 people), Jember (956 people), Banyuwangi (943 people), Sukoharjo (938 people), and Tasikmalaya City (933 people).
Situbondo ranks first. With a population of 692,140, the number of people tested in the last week was 997 per week. The latest positive rate is 0.3 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Jember. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested in the last week was 956 per week. The positive rate in this region is 0.73 percent, also higher than the previous week's percentage.
Furthermore, 943 people were tested per week in Banyuwangi, 938 in Sukoharjo, and 933 in Tasikmalaya City.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on a recapitulation of national Covid data, 234 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of people tested daily in the last week compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 146 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested in the last week compared to the previous week.
