The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 126 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.88 percent as of Saturday, October 29, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 22.1 percent are Surabaya City, West Lombok, Mojokerto City, Semarang City, and East Jakarta City, with respective values of 30 percent, 25.33 percent, 24.22 percent, 22.36 percent, and 22.1 percent.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily tracing rate higher than previously recorded was observed in 21 regencies/cities, while 23 regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include West Lombok, Karimun, and South Aceh, with tracing rates of 25.33 percent, 21 percent, and 20 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to participate in reducing Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
