The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 137 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.2 percent (data as of Friday, July 22, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 10.58 percent are North Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Tangerang, South Jakarta, and Central Jakarta, with values of 14.28 percent, 13.28 percent, 13.19 percent, 11.55 percent, and 10.58 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 75 districts/cities, while 108 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Palangkaraya, Gianyar, and Karangasem, with seven-day positivity rates of 8.42 percent, 8.09 percent, and 8.06 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
