This testing achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, subsequently reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting with the highest weekly percentage of people tested, are Balikpapan City (263.2%), Purwakarta (158.81%), Kutai Kartanegara (145.39%), Banjarbaru City (123.21%), and Tarakan City (109.77%).
Balikpapan City ranks first. With a population of 649,420, its weekly percentage of people tested is recorded at 263.2 percent. The latest positive rate is 0.41 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Purwakarta. The region's population is recorded at 965,370. In an effort to counter the COVID-19 pandemic, the weekly percentage of people tested is 158.81 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 0.26 percent, an increase compared to the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, Kutai Kartanegara recorded 145.39 percent, Banjarbaru City recorded 123.21 percent, and Tarakan City recorded 109.77 percent in weekly percentage of people tested.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national COVID-19 data recapitulation, there are 241 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reporting a higher daily weekly percentage of people tested than before. Meanwhile, 86 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly percentage of people tested compared to the previous week.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water.
