Palu's air quality on Friday afternoon (June 14, 2024) was the cleanest in Indonesia.
According to data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) at 5:00 PM WIB on Friday, the air quality index in Palu was 20. Three other cities with the cleanest air quality in Indonesia were Banjarmasin at 25, Padang at 29, and Ambon at 30.
Citing the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 14 of 2020 concerning the Air Pollutant Standard Index (ISPU), KLHK categorizes air quality index into 5 categories:
* 0-50: Good
* 51-100: Moderate
* 101-200: Unhealthy
* 201-300: Very Unhealthy
* 300+: Hazardous
Therefore, Palu's current air quality index is categorized as good, indicating minimal air pollution in the area.
