Today, Friday, August 13, 2021, Bali recorded the highest daily increase in COVID-19 deaths among all Indonesian provinces. The number of reported deaths in Bali today is 51.
According to the profile of COVID-19 victims, the largest percentage of those who died from COVID-19 in Bali were individuals over 60 years old (56.7%), followed by those aged 46-59 (31.1%), 31-45 (8.5%), 19-30 (2.8%), 6-18 (0.5%), and 0-5 (0.5%).
Daily statistics for COVID-19 deaths in Bali over the past week show an upward trend. Compared to other provinces, Bali ranks eighth in terms of the highest number of deaths.
Other information from Bali includes an 83.09% recovery rate (75,820 individuals have recovered). The death toll stands at 2,579 (2%). Those who recovered included individuals with pre-existing conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
According to diagnostic results, those who died from COVID-19 in Bali primarily exhibited fever, shortness of breath, cough, and cold symptoms. Clinically, 25% of those who died had diabetes mellitus as a comorbidity, and another 25% had a history of heart disease.
Regarding the age distribution of COVID-19 cases, the largest percentage of cases were among those aged 31-45 (25.9%), followed by 19-30 (24.4%), 46-59 (23.7%), over 60 (13.9%), 6-18 (9.2%), and 0-5 (2.8%). In terms of gender, more males than females tested positive for COVID-19 in Bali.
