The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 279 regencies/cities with elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 59.91 percent as of Thursday, September 15, 2022.
Five regencies/cities with the highest elderly vaccination rates, exceeding 120.05 percent, are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Yogyakarta City, and Garut Regency, with values of 288.22 percent, 182.18 percent, 128.09 percent, 120.08 percent, and 120.05 percent respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days was recorded in 185 regencies/cities, while two regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Aceh Singkil, with elderly vaccination rates of 288.22 percent, 182.18 percent, and 117.35 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
