The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 68.62 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Wednesday, March 29, 2023. This figure represents 37.8 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 1,346 doses.
Based on provinces, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.46 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients with 1.59 million doses. Following are Bandung Regency (1.1 million), Bekasi City (979,620), Bekasi Regency (967,440), Cianjur Regency (912,410), and Bandung City (896,860).
East Java is in second place nationally with 9.36 million booster vaccine doses administered. Within East Java, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, at 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.55 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by DKI Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten with 5.34 million, 4.19 million, and 2.99 million booster vaccine doses administered, respectively.
