The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 37 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, June 13, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient utilization exceeding 1.48 patients per 100,000 population/week are Sorong, Teluk Bintuni, Blitar City, Palangkaraya City, and Sitaro, with respective values of 3.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.89 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.07 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.69 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Seven regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than before, while 12 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Sorong, Teluk Bintuni, and Palangkaraya City, with inpatient utilization rates of 3.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.89 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.69 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
