10 Million Indonesians Have Received Full COVID-19 Vaccination

As of Wednesday, May 26, 2021, 10,236,019 people in Indonesia have received two doses of the Covid-19 coronavirus vaccine. This figure is equivalent to 65.8% of the total number of people who received the first dose, which was 15,546,158.

The first dose of the vaccine for health workers has reached 1,513,180 people, or 103% of the government's target. Of this number, 1,381,582 health workers, or 94.1% of the target, have also received the second dose.

Public officials who have received the first dose of the vaccine number 10,856,588, or 62.7% of the target. Public officials who have received the second dose number 10,856,588, or 39% of the target.

Meanwhile, coronavirus vaccination for the elderly remains relatively low. Only 3,154,384 elderly people have received the first dose, or 14.6% of the target. The second dose has only been administered to 2,099,512 people, or 9.7% of the target.

The ongoing vaccination program in Indonesia needs to be complemented by adherence to health protocols. The public must wear masks, maintain distance and avoid crowds, and wash their hands with soap (3M) when outside the home.
