The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 50 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.25 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, February 26, 2023.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization rates, exceeding 0.58 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Madiun City, Blitar, Purwakarta, Blitar City, and Tasikmalaya City, with respective values of 1.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.94 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.93 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.69 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.58 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than previously recorded was noted in two districts/cities, while one district/city recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Metro City, Bangka Selatan, and Bangka Barat, with inpatient utilization rates of 0.57 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.47 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
