The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 34 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.35 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 1.2 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Jambi City, Toli Toli, Blitar City, Palembang City, and Sukabumi City, with values of 1.97 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.25 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.2 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Eight regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than before, while 15 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Jambi City, Toli Toli, and Palembang City, with inpatient utilization rates of 1.97 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.25 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
