According to a report by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), there were 1.03 million foreign tourist visits (wisman) to Indonesia in February 2024.
This number represents an 11.67% increase compared to the previous month (month-on-month/mom). Similarly, compared to February 2023, foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in February 2024 surged by 38.24% (year-on-year/yoy).
Asian countries dominated the top 10 list of countries with the most tourist visits to Indonesia in February 2024.
The largest number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in February 2024 came from Malaysia, with 214,080 visitors (20.66%).
This was followed by tourists from Singapore with 112,830 visitors (10.89%), China with 105,270 visitors (10.16%), Australia with 101,550 visitors (9.8%), and India with 47,900 visitors (4.62%).
On the other hand, five countries recorded the fewest foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in February 2024: Aruba, Vatican City, Saint Vincent, Benin, and Guinea-Bissau, each recording only one visit.
