Several districts/cities in West Sumatra Province still record relatively low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Solok Regency, Agam Regency, and the Mentawai Islands Regency.
As of yesterday, in the ongoing vaccination program, these three regions have only completed 443,970 second doses out of the targeted 812,350 vaccine recipients.
Solok Regency has the lowest rate. As of yesterday, its second-dose vaccination rate reached 53.15%, the lowest among the 19 districts/cities. The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 83.96%, with 439,090 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 311,810 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Solok last week was 378 participants. The current vaccine stock is 23,562 doses.
Next is Agam Regency, which has the second-lowest second-dose vaccination rate. With a target of 432,030 vaccine recipients, 55.59% or 240,160 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate is 76.95%, with 584,960 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Agam last week was 471 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 4,810 doses.
Finally, the Mentawai Islands Regency has the third-lowest rate. With a target of 68,511 vaccine recipients, 55.61% or 38,098 recipients have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in the Mentawai Islands last week was 41 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 5,590 doses.
At the provincial level, West Sumatra's overall first-dose vaccination rate has reached 83.98%, with 4.18 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate is 66%, reaching 3.28 million vaccine recipients.
