This testing achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, which is then reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting from the highest, are Indragiri Hulu, Balikpapan City, Purwakarta, Kutai Kartanegara, and Tarakan City, with ratios of 412.05 percent, 408.23 percent, 260.38 percent, 215.42 percent, and 191.35 percent, respectively.
Indragiri Hulu ranks first. With a population of 453,480, the weekly testing percentage is recorded at 412.05 percent. The latest positive rate is 0 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Balikpapan City. The population of this region is recorded at 649,420. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage is 408.23 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 0.08 percent, which has also decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Then, Purwakarta, with a population of 965,370, recorded a weekly testing percentage of 260.38 percent; Kutai Kartanegara at 215.42 percent; and Tarakan City at 191.35 percent.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 127 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report higher weekly testing percentages than before. Meanwhile, 163 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly testing percentages compared to the previous week.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest weekly testing percentage ratios include Indragiri Hulu, Balikpapan City, and Kutai Kartanegara, with weekly testing percentages of 412.05 percent, 408.23 percent, and 215.42 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue to reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
