The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least one regency/city has a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 3.04 percent. This is a decrease compared to last week's figure of 3.69 percent (data as of Monday, January 9, 2023).
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 33.89 percent, are Fakfak, Bima, Muna, East Manggarai, and Rokan Hilir, with values of 100 percent, 57.14 percent, 52.5 percent, 37.5 percent, and 33.89 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. 48 regencies/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than before, while 69 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Bima, and Muna, with BORs of 100 percent, 57.14 percent, and 52.5 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
