The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 187 regencies/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 5.09 percent (data as of Friday, September 9, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 27.27 percent are Tomohon City, Tegal City, Gayo Lues, Barito Timur, and Mentawai Islands, with values of 34.23 percent, 30.61 percent, 30 percent, 28.57 percent, and 27.27 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 143 regencies/cities, while 129 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Tomohon City, Gayo Lues, and Barito Timur, with seven-day positivity rates of 34.23 percent, 30 percent, and 28.57 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
