The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in North Sulawesi currently occurred in Sitaro, with 16.32 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Thursday, September 29, 2022. This figure is three cases higher than the second-highest region.
The COVID-19 transmission situation in Sitaro does not appear to be improving. This is indicated by the number of cases this week, which is still higher than the previous week's figure of 4.45 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Next in second place is Manado City, recording a weekly confirmation rate of 13.14 cases per 100,000 population. Compared to last week, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week is still higher, meaning no improvement is yet visible.
Rounding out the top five, in addition to the two regions above, are Tomohon City, North Minahasa, and Minahasa, recording weekly confirmations of 12.68 cases, 12.2 cases, and 7.81 cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Bitung City, South Minahasa, Sangihe Islands, and Talaud Islands. These regions recorded an average increase of over 4.27 cases per 100,000 population.
The good news from this province is that one regency/city recorded no increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Other information from today's daily COVID-19 data statistics is that 171 regencies/cities in Indonesia recorded a higher increase compared to last week, and 212 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly confirmations than the previous week.
In addition, 128 regencies/cities in Indonesia currently report no confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
