The United States followed with a weekly growth in deaths of 13.42 percent. Yesterday's daily death toll in the US was 1,606. Canada reported 101 deaths (up 3.06%), Chile 120 deaths (down 14.29%), and Mexico 77 deaths (down 15.38%).

The total number of deaths in the Americas over the past seven days was 2,659. This accounts for 33.03 percent of global COVID-19 deaths, totaling 8,050. The number of deaths in the Americas increased compared to the previous seven-day accumulation of 2,565 deaths.
