As of Saturday, November 5th, 2022, the national average testing rate was 9.09%. This achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, subsequently reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting from the highest weekly testing percentage, are Semarang City (218.27%), Metro City (169.14%), Semarang (155.85%), Ciamis (137.36%), and South Jakarta City (101%).
Semarang City ranked first, with a weekly testing percentage of 218.27%. The latest positive rate was 8.05%, an increase compared to the previous week.
Next is Metro City, with a population of 174,260. In efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage reached 169.14%. The positive rate was 1.35%, also higher than the previous week.
Furthermore, Semarang's weekly testing percentage was 155.85%, Ciamis recorded 137.36%, and South Jakarta City recorded 101%.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 129 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported higher weekly testing percentages than before. Meanwhile, 209 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly testing percentages compared to the previous week.
Regions outside Java with the highest weekly testing percentages include Metro City, Pakpak Bharat, and Balikpapan City, with percentages of 169.14%, 96.43%, and 95.72%, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
