The top five, starting with the highest, are Sragen, Buru, Paser, Bau Bau City, and Simalungun, with 992, 982, 972, 966, and 951 tests per week, respectively.
Sragen ranks first. With a population of 890,090, the number of people tested in the last week was 992 per week. The latest positive rate is 2.52 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week.
Next is Buru. The region's population is 149,970. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested last week was 982 per week. The positive rate in this region is 0 percent, a decrease from the previous week's ratio.
Then, Paser, with a population of 287,270, recorded 972 Covid-19 tests last week; Bau Bau City, with a population of 174,370, recorded 966 Covid-19 tests last week; and Simalungun recorded 951 Covid-19 tests last week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 150 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of people tested daily last week than in the previous week. Meanwhile, 236 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested last week compared to the previous week.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
