The Indonesian government reported 65 additional Covid-19 deaths today, Monday, October 11, 2021. This figure is higher than the 39 deaths reported the previous day. With this increase, the total number of deaths due to the coronavirus during the pandemic has reached 142,716.
The highest number of Covid-19 deaths today was in Central Java, with 15 deaths. East Java reported the next highest number with 8 deaths, followed by Bali and Yogyakarta Special Region, each with 8 and 6 deaths respectively.
Other provinces with significant increases in Covid-19 deaths include North Sumatra and West Java, with 5 deaths each. Bangka Belitung and East Kalimantan each reported 2 deaths, as did Jakarta and West Nusa Tenggara.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, 620 new confirmed Covid-19 cases were reported today. Central Java reported the highest number of new cases with 97, followed by West Java with 69 and East Java with 47. With today's increase, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases during the pandemic has reached 4,228,552.
2,444 Covid-19 patients were declared recovered today. Central Kalimantan reported the highest number of recoveries with 456, followed by Jakarta with 309 and Central Java with 159. With today's increase, the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients has reached 4,063,295.
