The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 278 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, which is currently recorded at 59.33 percent (data as of Saturday, July 30, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 117.24 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Yogyakarta City, and Aceh Singkil, with values of 280.05 percent, 180.67 percent, 127.74 percent, 119.92 percent, and 117.24 percent, respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. An increase in daily elderly vaccination rates compared to previous days was recorded in 224 regencies/cities, while four regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Aceh Singkil, with elderly vaccination rates of 280.05 percent, 180.67 percent, and 117.24 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
