Several districts/cities in West Java province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Cianjur Regency, Tasikmalaya Regency, and Garut Regency.
As of yesterday, these three regencies had only completed 2.44 million second doses out of the targeted 5.38 million vaccine recipients.
Cianjur Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, only 44.27% of the target population in this region had received their second dose, the lowest among the 27 other districts/cities. The first dose, however, has reached 75.16%, with 2.31 million vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 1.92 million participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Cianjur last week was 12,254 participants. Currently, there is a stock of 165,810 vaccine doses available.
Next is Tasikmalaya Regency. This regency has the second-lowest rate for the second dose. With a target of 1.48 million vaccine recipients, only 45.85% or 679,340 recipients have received their second dose.
The first dose has reached 76.18%, with 1.82 million vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Tasikmalaya last week was 12,763 participants. The current vaccine stock is 84,730 doses.
Garut Regency is ranked third. With a target of 1.98 million vaccine recipients, only 46.09% or 911,440 recipients have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Garut last week was 8,008 participants. The current vaccine stock is 228,960 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in West Java has reached 88.21%, with 33.44 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 63.84%, covering 24.2 million vaccine recipients.
