Several districts/cities in Maluku province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include East Seram Regency, West Seram Regency, and Central Maluku Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies had only completed 102,870 second doses out of the targeted 594,980 vaccine recipients.
East Seram Regency is ranked first (lowest). As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region only reached 12.7%. This is the lowest figure compared to the other 11 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination has reached 38.3%, or 52,839 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 102,560 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in East Seram Regency last week was 488 participants. The current vaccine stock is 11,274 doses.
Next is West Seram Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 159,880 vaccine recipients, only 13.7% or 21,882 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination has reached 37.3%, or 81,977 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in West Seram Regency last week was 1,105 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 36,206 doses.
Finally, Central Maluku Regency is ranked third. With a target of 332,540 vaccine recipients, only 20.4% or 67,977 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Central Maluku Regency last week was 1,589 participants. The current vaccine stock is 60,738 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in Maluku has reached 59.34%, or 841,320 vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 28.86%, covering 409,110 vaccine recipients.
