Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Inpatient Utilization (Monday, July 18, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 43 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.22 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, July 18, 2022.

The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 3.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Magelang City, Palangkaraya City, Tegal City, Gianyar, and Bangli, with respective values of 9.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.07 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 3.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 21 districts/cities, while six districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.

Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Palangkaraya City, Gianyar, and Bangli, with inpatient utilization rates of 5.07 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 3.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
