The number of people in South Sumatra who have received their first dose of the vaccine is 4.92 million.

As of Saturday, January 8, 2022, South Sumatra Province has achieved 78.05% coverage for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 4.92 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 6.3 million people. The second dose vaccination has reached 45.1% of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the COVID-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group had a target of 49,010 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 49,010 people (124.68% of the target), and for the second dose, 118.62% or 38,380 people were vaccinated.

Public sector workers had a target of 439,480 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 616,960 people (140.38% of the target), and the second dose reached 127.87% or 561,980 people.

The elderly target was 597,070 people. For the first dose, 387,040 people received the vaccine (64.82% of the target). The second dose reached only 31.75% or 189,560 people.

The vulnerable general public target was 4.37 million people. For the first dose, 3.04 million people received the vaccine (70.49% of the target). The second dose reached only 34.33% or 1.47 million people.

Another target group was adolescents aged 12-17 years, with a target of 846,680 people. For the first dose, 743,280 people received the vaccine (87.79% of the target). The second dose reached 62.88% or 532,410 people.
