The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 58 districts/cities with a Covid-19 agglomeration death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.04 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with Covid-19 agglomeration death rates exceeding 0.84 per 100,000 population per week are Natuna (3.68 per 100,000 population per week), Minahasa Tenggara (0.93 per 100,000 population per week), Tomohon City (0.91 per 100,000 population per week), Minahasa (0.87 per 100,000 population per week), and Banggai Islands (0.84 per 100,000 population per week).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the Covid-19 agglomeration death rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. However, four districts/cities recorded higher daily Covid-19 agglomeration death rates than previously, while eight districts/cities recorded lower rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 agglomeration death rates include Natuna (3.68 per 100,000 population per week), Minahasa Tenggara (0.93 per 100,000 population per week), and Tomohon City (0.91 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
