2019 Homecoming: Ministry of Health Prepares 6,047 Healthcare Facilities

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has prepared 6,047 health service facilities (Fasyankes) consisting of 923 health posts, 4,210 community health centers (Puskesmas), and 375 hospitals (RS) along the Pantura route. In addition, 144 referral hospitals, 207 Port Health Offices, and 188 Public Safety Centers (PSC) are prepared.

This year's number of Fasyankes is 2,137 units higher than last year's 3,910 units. In 2018, available Fasyankes consisted of 375 hospitals, 2,231 Puskesmas, 923 health posts, 174 PSCs, and 207 Port Health Offices.

Director General of Health Services Bambang Wibowo stated that the provision of these Fasyankes is part of the government's obligation to anticipate unexpected events during the homecoming exodus. One of Kemenkes's main focuses is health checks for drivers, especially public transportation drivers. This is done to reduce the risk factors of road accidents during the Eid homecoming.
