Indonesia's COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Ranks Third Lowest Among G20 Nations

According to a report by *Our World in Data*, as of November 30, 2021, only 34.1% of Indonesia's population had received full COVID-19 vaccination. This figure places Indonesia third lowest among G20 nations.

South Korea ranked highest, having fully vaccinated 80% of its population. Japan and China followed with 77.3% and 76.9% of their populations fully vaccinated, respectively.

Canada had fully vaccinated 76.2% of its population. Italy and Australia followed with 73% and 72.9% of their populations fully vaccinated, respectively.

India lagged behind Indonesia, with only 32.1% of its population fully vaccinated. South Africa had the lowest rate, with only 24.1% of its population having received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccination is crucial in preventing COVID-19 related deaths and illnesses. Even after vaccination, people should still wear masks, maintain social distancing, avoid crowds, and wash their hands frequently with soap.

The G20 is a multilateral cooperation forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union. Note that Indonesia will hold the presidency and host the G20 summit in 2022.
