The 2023/2024 BRI Liga 1 season has concluded its 23rd week, marking the end of this year's matches. The next matches will resume on January 30, 2024.
Throughout the season, each team has given their best performance to win the championship. Inevitably, in every game, there have been players who have committed fouls and received yellow cards.
So, which players have accumulated the most cards?
According to Transfermarkt, Jihad Ayoub, a striker from PSS Sleman, is the player with the most yellow cards, accumulating 10 cards by the mid-season.
Due to his actions, the Lebanese player had to miss the match against Persija Jakarta last Saturday (December 16, 2023).
Next are two Dewa United players, Agung Mannan and Ricky Kambuaya, who both have 9 cards each.
Furthermore, Liga 1 also recorded Dewa United as the club with the most yellow cards, accumulating 75 cards over 23 weeks of matches.
According to the BRI Liga 1 2023/2024 regulations, each player who receives 4 yellow cards will be suspended and must pay a fine of Rp 5 million.
The fine will increase if a player receives another 3 yellow cards, resulting in a Rp 7 million fine.
