The number of healthcare workers in Indonesia who have died from the Covid-19 virus continues to rise. According to data from Lapor Covid-19, the total number reached 1,631 as of 11:00 WIB on July 30, 2021.
Doctors represent the profession with the highest number of deaths due to Covid-19, with 598 fatalities. This constitutes 36.67% of the total healthcare worker deaths from the deadly virus.
Furthermore, 503 nurses died from Covid-19 in the country. This amounts to 30.8% of the total healthcare worker deaths due to Covid-19.
A total of 299 midwives also succumbed to Covid-19. Following them are 47 pharmacists, 46 dentists, and 44 medical laboratory technologists (ATLM).
