The top five, starting from the highest, are Balikpapan City, Bau Bau City, Badung Regency, Mimika Regency, and Surakarta City, with percentages of 395.65 percent, 385.71 percent, 293.27 percent, 277.23 percent, and 269.5 percent, respectively.
Balikpapan City ranks first. With a population of 646,020, the weekly testing percentage is recorded at 395.65 percent. The latest positive rate is 3.22 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Bau Bau City. The population in this region is recorded at 174,370. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage is 385.71 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 1.48 percent, which has also decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, the weekly testing percentage in Badung Regency is recorded at 293.27 percent, Mimika Regency at 277.23 percent, and Surakarta City, with a population of 519,800, at 269.5 percent.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 147 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher weekly testing percentage than before. Meanwhile, 203 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly testing percentage compared to the previous week's testing.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
