The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Banten, and Central Java.
The following are the provinces with the highest increase in Covid-19 cases today
- DKI Jakarta recorded an additional 738 cases
DKI Jakarta is ranked first. The increase in cases here was 738, or a 0.05 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total, which reached 1.43 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in DKI Jakarta is now 1.43 million.
Unfortunately, in addition to recording a high number of new cases, DKI Jakarta also recorded one death. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in DKI Jakarta has reached 15,594. The seven-day positive rate is 9.84 percent, and the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals is reported at 6.68 percent.
- West Java recorded an additional 335 cases
West Java is ranked second. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 335. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 4.87 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 35.12 per week.
- East Java recorded an additional 274 cases
East Java is ranked third. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 274. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 6.43 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 19 per week.
- Banten recorded an additional 204 cases
Next is Banten. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 204. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 6.78 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 12.98 per week.
- Central Java recorded an additional 153 cases
Fifth is Central Java. In this province, today's increase in cases was 153, or a 0.02 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 638,930.
Today, Central Java also recorded two deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Java has reached 33,470. The seven-day positive rate in Central Java is 3.34 percent, while the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals is reported at 5.32 percent.
- East Nusa Tenggara recorded an additional 41 cases
East Nusa Tenggara is ranked sixth. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 41. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 7.98 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 2.1 per week.
- East Kalimantan recorded an additional 36 cases
Next is East Kalimantan. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 36. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 2.23 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 5.44 per week.
- South Sulawesi recorded an additional 34 cases
South Sulawesi is ranked eighth. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 34. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 5.94 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 2.76 per week.
- North Sumatra recorded an additional 29 cases
Next is North Sumatra. The increase in cases here was 29, or a 0.02 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 159,700. With this addition, the total number of cases in this province is now 159,730. The trend of case development in this region over the past week has decreased. This can be seen from the lower confirmation rate per 100,000 population compared to the previous week. Conversely, the positive rate in this region is still increasing over the past week. According to the Ministry of Health, the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals in this province is 2.4 percent.
- Yogyakarta recorded an additional 27 cases
Tenth is Yogyakarta. In this province, today's increase in cases was 27, or a 0.01 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 224,980.
Yogyakarta also reported one death today. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in Yogyakarta has reached 5,944.
The trend of case development in this region over the past week has increased. This can be seen from the higher confirmation rate per 100,000 population compared to the previous week. Similarly, the positive rate in this region is still increasing over the past week. According to the Ministry of Health, the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals in this province is 7.37 percent.
