Average Schooling Duration in South Konawe Reaches 8.97 Years in 2025

The average schooling duration (ASD) of residents aged 25 and over in South Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi reached 8.97 years in 2025.

Quoting data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the ASD of the region's residents is below the Southeast Sulawesi provincial average of 9.56 years in 2025.

South Konawe's resident ASD increased by 0.21 years (2.4%) compared to the previous year's 8.76 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, the ASD has risen by 1.11 years (14.12%).

This ASD indicates that the average South Konawe resident only attends school up to the 8th grade level. However, this ASD is still below the national average of 9.07 years in 2025.

When compared to the other 16 regencies/cities in Southeast Sulawesi Province, South Konawe's ASD ranks 9th. Other regions in the province with the highest ASD are Kendari City (12.56 years), while the lowest ASD is Central Buton Regency (7.37 years).
