The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 140 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.27 percent (data as of Thursday, July 21, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 10.54 percent are Tegal City, North Jakarta City, East Jakarta City, South Jakarta City, and Bekasi City, with values of 10.99 percent, 10.54 percent, 10.54 percent, 10.54 percent, and 10.54 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 78 districts/cities, while 108 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banjar (9.01 percent), Palangkaraya City (7.57 percent), and Klungkung (5.95 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
