The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 128 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.98 percent (data as of Tuesday, February 28, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 16.67 percent are Temanggung, Kayong Utara, Aceh Selatan, Boven Digoel, and Aceh Barat Daya, with values of 36 percent, 33.33 percent, 25 percent, 25 percent, and 16.67 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 25 districts/cities, while 25 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Kayong Utara, Aceh Selatan, and Boven Digoel, with seven-day positivity rates of 33.33 percent, 25 percent, and 25 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
