This testing achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, subsequently reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting from the highest weekly testing percentage, are Semarang (157.14%), Metro City (97.71%), Keerom (73.21%), Badung (72.8%), and Ciamis (64.94%).
Semarang ranks first, with a weekly testing percentage of 157.14 percent. The latest positive rate is 2.64 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Metro City. This region has a population of 174,260. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage reached 97.71 percent. The positive rate in this region is 3.51 percent, also higher than the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, the weekly testing percentage in Keerom was 73.21 percent, 72.8 percent in Badung, and 64.94 percent in Ciamis.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 159 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported higher daily weekly testing percentages than before. Meanwhile, 167 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly testing percentages compared to the previous week.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest weekly testing percentages include Metro City, Keerom, and Badung, with weekly testing percentages of 97.71 percent, 73.21 percent, and 72.8 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
