Based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 140 regencies/cities aggressively conducted Covid-19 tests exceeding the national average in the last week. Data from the week of November 6, 2022, shows a national average of 135.01 tests per week.
The top five, starting with the highest number of people tested per week, are Kudus (991 people), Deli Serdang (986 people), Sukoharjo (969 people), Jepara (968 people), and Bandung Barat (967 people).
Kudus ranks first. With a population of 893,350, 991 people were tested in the last week. The latest positive rate is 6.86 percent, an increase from the previous week.
Next is Deli Serdang. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 986 people were tested in the last week. The positive rate in this region is 5.98 percent, also up from the previous week.
Sukoharjo recorded 969 tests per week, Jepara 968 tests per week, and Bandung Barat 967 tests per week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 156 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of daily tests in the last week compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 166 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of tests in the last week compared to the previous week.
Outside of Java, some regions with the highest number of tests in the last week include Deli Serdang, Samarinda City, and Batam City, with 986, 872, and 792 people tested respectively in the last week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
