The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 104 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 2.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Saturday, November 26, 2022.
Inpatient utilization in the top five regencies/cities, with figures exceeding 9.89 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Tegal City, Kediri City, Madiun City, Palangkaraya City, and Belitung, with respective values of 11.59 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.89 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily inpatient utilization figures higher than before were recorded in 10 regencies/cities, while 76 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Palangkaraya City, Belitung, and Tana Tidung, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 10.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.89 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.76 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
