As of Monday, April 18, 2022, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in North Maluku province reached 73.28 percent. This equates to 1.04 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 1.42 million people. The second dose vaccination coverage reached 44.09 percent of the target.
Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group had a target of 14,260 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 14,260 people (113.51 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 105.3 percent or 15,010 people were vaccinated.
For public officials, the target was 174,710 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 113,800 people (65.14 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 52.05 percent, or 90,940 people.
For the elderly, the target was 127,310 people. For the first dose, 69,160 people were vaccinated (54.32 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 31.64 percent, or 40,280 people.
For the vulnerable general public, the target was 885,530 people. For the first dose, 606,790 people were vaccinated (68.76 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 39.44 percent, or 348,700 people.
For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 215,890 people. For the first dose, 169,620 people were vaccinated (78.57 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 48.09 percent, or 103,820 people.
