Indonesia's COVID-19 Testing: 255,560 Specimens per Day (Tuesday, November 2, 2021)

On Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, Indonesia conducted 255,560 COVID-19 specimen tests. This number is higher than the previous day's testing. To date, a total of 47.19 million specimens have been examined.

The average number of specimens tested has decreased. The average is 229,690 specimens per day throughout November. In October, the average COVID-19 test was 245,320 specimens per day.

The tested specimens include antigen tests, Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests, and rapid molecular tests (TCM).

Meanwhile, the total number of people tested with RT-PCR on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, was 58,180, bringing the total to 16.8 million people. Compared to the population, the ratio is 61,700 people per one million inhabitants.

In addition to specimen testing, to suppress the spread of COVID-19, the government urges the public to more strictly implement the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, washing hands with soap, and maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.
