The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are West Java, Central Java, Jakarta, East Java, and East Nusa Tenggara.

1. West Java reported 2,714 new cases

West Java ranks first, with 2,714 new cases, a 0.25% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 1.08 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in West Java is now 1.08 million.

In addition to reporting the highest number of new cases, West Java also reported 19 deaths. The total number of deaths in West Java during the COVID-19 pandemic has reached 15,466.

Conversely, the positive rate in this region has increased over the past week. According to the Ministry of Health, the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) for COVID-19 hospitals in this province is 25%.

2. Central Java reported 1,776 new cases

Central Java ranks second, with 1,776 new COVID-19 cases. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 13.36%. In an effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for COVID-19 in this province is recorded at 100.92 per week.
3. Jakarta reported 1,706 new cases
