The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least two regencies/cities have a weekly BOR above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 6.27 percent. This is down from last week's 7.6 percent, based on data from Saturday, December 17, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 54.55 percent, are Fakfak, Musi Rawas Utara, Gorontalo, Tasikmalaya, and Belitung Timur, with values of 100 percent, 100 percent, 57.14 percent, 54.76 percent, and 54.55 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 59 regencies/cities, while 102 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Musi Rawas Utara, and Gorontalo, with BORs of 100 percent, 100 percent, and 57.14 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
