The United States recorded the highest number of Omicron cases, with weekly growth reaching 1.76 percent. GISAID recorded 1.38 million Omicron cases in the US. Daily cases in this region decreased by 0.63 percent compared to the previous day.
The United Kingdom follows in second place. Compared to the previous week, the number of Omicron cases in the UK grew by 0.34 percent. Daily figures show a 0.39 percent decrease in Omicron cases compared to the previous day, which recorded 1.25 million cases.
Germany reported 335,000 Omicron cases (up 0.01%), Denmark saw a 0.67 percent increase to 260,100 cases compared to the previous week, and France reported 175,410 Omicron cases (up 10.7%).
In Indonesia, the number of Omicron cases recorded to date is 15,446, a decrease of 3.76 percent compared to the previous day. Since it was first monitored, Omicron cases in Indonesia have continued to rise.
